jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

Hi folks,

AJAX call returns 50+ rows and ALL rows have expanded = false. 

The data has 4 levels, but somehow the first node is expanded with it's second level nodes showing.

For example, the data is

   1.1

      1.1.1

      1.1.2

   1.2

      1.2.1

      1.2.2

2

   2.1

     2.1.1

     2.1.2

   2.2

3

   3.1

   3.2

4

   etc.

What I expect is:

1

2

3

4

but what I see is:

1

   1.1

   1.2

2

3

4

Any thoughts?
