Hi,

A couple of queries if I may....

1. I have a tree-grid which has enough records that a vertical scroll bar appears. If a user selects (and expands) the a record near the bottom of the viewable area when it expands not all the childnodes are visible.

Is there a way of auto-scrolling so that when a node is expanded all it's children are visible.

2. I also wish to select and expand a specific node in the tree-grid.

I can successfully select the row using:-

    var mygrid = $("#grid_r");
    mygrid.setSelection("O_002", true);

(where 0_002 is the id of the row)

but I can't seem to get it to expand. I'm using:-

    //var record = mygrid.getInd(mygrid[0].rows, "O_001" true);
    var record = mygrid.getInd("O_002");
    mygrid.expandRow(record);
    mygrid.expandNode(record);

to try and do that - trying both versions of getInd above but with no luck.

Any assistance, as always, would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Romyn

Please use setTimeout:

gridComplete: function() {
  var rData = mygrid.jqGrid('getGridParam', 'data');
  if(rData[0]){
    setTimeout(function(){
      $empList.expandRow(rData[0]);
      $empList.expandNode(rData[0]);
    }, 0);
  }
},
