Hello,
Open the ui-jqgrid.css and find this
.ui-jqgrid tr.jqgrow td {font-weight: normal; overflow: hidden; text-align:left; white-space: pre;...}
Also you can overwrite this option after you load the css and define
<style>
.ui-jqgrid tr.jqgrow td {white-space: normal}
</style>
For a particular grid ... - let's this be a task for you. 🙂

Tony

I tried this setting and found that wordwrap is not working consistantly.
Here is link to my sample grid, you can do view source to see the code
http://punesoftwaregroup.com/t.....endra.html
I see following issues
1) Firefox 3.0.12 first 3 columns are not word-wrapped,
2) In IE 7 NO column is wordwrapped
3) In IE 8 NO column is wordwrapped and even first 2 column headers are not shown properly.
4) We ovserved that if column has space then wordwraps works may be?
Any idea why is it miss-behaving. Any know issue/possible fix ?
Please help.

Hello,
In your example you should add DOCTYPE declaration
IE will not work at all in your case - it is in quircks mode
