Validation before submit

Hello, We are using the jqgrid as reading and editing datas, but we are having some troubles.

How we can make value test by variables fileds in the form (How we can see on the demo: Navigator on Live Data Manipulation in http://www.trirand.com/jqgrid/.....qgrid.html), wen the little form is opened for edition.

In this case, the avaliable verifications (max value, min value, requeried value, etc.) don´t are enought to us, we have some customs verification that must be performed before data submition to server.

How can be captured the values of the fields, in the moment that is change or before be submeted.

Hello,

This can be extended easy.

Open the grid.formedit.js and find the function

function checkValues(val, valref)

You will have idea how easy you can extend this.

One more question. If I want to make the same on inline edition, have some function for validation, or another method to do my custom validation ?

Hello,

For inline editing there is no validation, but you can use

saveRow method and make you own validation here.
