I am using the setcolumns / visible columns method.
1. Is it possible to not show certain columns in the modal box? The grid loads hidden columns by default which users can not see. Clicking on Show Columns they can select the columns which should not be visible.
2. The grid is set to width:870. With lots of columns selected this works fine as a horizontal scroll bar is visible. If less columns are selected the width of the grid then shortens. e.g. If I select just two columns the grid becomes 200 wide. How can I set the grid to always be 870 wide and to automatically fill the width of the columns.

Hello,
1. Yes - there is option in colModel hidedlg - when set to true,
this column does not apper in Hide/Show dialog.
2. You can use a new forceFit option, but this way you will no have
horizontal scrolbar - i.e. the grid will have the desired width.
Another possible solution is to set the width dynamically with the method
setGridWidth after each show and hide column.
