jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

In my jQgrid, I would like to remove the right border on each column except for the first column in my table body, and I would like to give the last column in the table a left border.  This would create a border on the first and last column, and eliminate the borders on all columns in between. I know how to remove the borders entirely in the stylesheet, but I am trying to keep the first and last.

I also have a double right border appearing in my <thead> and <tbody> that I need to get rid of, it is clashing with the gridContainer and creating a double right border.

Is there a way to control the border on a specified cell, column, or row?
