Hi,

Not sure if this has be asked before, but i have an afterShowForm javascript funtion that changes somethings in the edit dialog. This is working fine.

But the problem i have is that after it's changed, and you close the dialog, and open another edit dialog (of another record), it already has the looks of the changed dialog, instead of the 'standard' starting looks of the edit dailog. Any idea why this is that way or what i can do to let it reload the edit dialog every time i open it?

Oh, i'm doing this in a subgrid. So if i open the dialog for another line in the same subgrid, it doesn't really reload it. It does work when i open a line of another subgrid.

I hope my question is clear. So can i reload the edit dialog every time i open one?

Hello,

Yes the question is clear, but I think it is difficult to do.

I think to add onCloseForm event. What do you think?

Since you know what is changed in aftreShowForm event you can rollback

these changes in onCloseForm event

Tony

That could work i guess. But is it that hard to really load/create the edit dialog new every time? (no idea how it's done in the code, but i guess it is if you say so) 🙂

Thanks for your reaction

Hello,

Actually, If I look into the code it seems that recreating will be possible too.

Let make me make some tests.

Hello,

You can test the new option in 3.3.1 - recreateForm

Hmm, installed 3.3.1 and it looks like it doesn't work. Can this be because i'm using it in a subgrid? Or am i setting recreateForm to true at the wrong place?

Hmm, looks like i'm doing something wrong here and it's working correct. If i set it default to true directly in the grid.formedit.js it works.

Thanks

Cannot get it to work, except when i change the value to true in the grid.formedit.js. Any idea what i could be doing wrong?

Hello,

Maybe if you use it in adding and editing records add it in both places.
