programmatic scroll to make row visible?

Sometimes I cause a row to be selected from code, not by using the mouse or keyboard. I would like to have the selected row always be visible after it is selected, by automatically scrolling the grid.

I googled this and looked through the methods with no luck. Can this be done now, or would I have to add a feature to the jqGrid source?

solved this by using:

scrollrows: true in creating time and use setseletion method when I want to select the row Laugh

This is old answer, which is not correct because mchahn asked about programatically scrolling and selecting.

Is there some news on this field? Does anyone knows answer?
