Hi,
I want to set the url of the grid to blank initially so the grid displays, but loads no data.
No before some one mentions the hiddengrid property, I know about that, but it's not doing what I want.
First I don't want to display a caption and I don't want the users to be able to hide the grid.
Setting the url to blank sort of works as the empty grid is displayed, but it still attempts to contact the server as firebug shows two calls (I have two grids in a Jqeuery UI tab setup). the grid is trying to generat a query from the url and of course that URL is not the one for fetching data.
I also tried doing the hiddengrid and set the caption, but I can't find a way to show the grid via code and I have to manually click the header button to show the grid and it then does load the data.
My goal is to not load the data until the user clicks on the tab that has the grid, if the URL is blank I can check and then insert the URL via the setparameter method and then reaload the grid. Like I said this sort of works except for the two bunk calls to the server when the page loads.
It would be nice if the URL is blank to just display the grid and don't load data.
