I have the jQGrid's datatype: json. I am using a Search Form to get criteria from the user, I then set the postdata and retrieve the results.
On the server, I have an object which has a method that returns Formatted JSON. This ensures that the JSON is consistenly formatted.
I can make a request with Criteria A and it returns and populates the grid. If I make a request with Criteria B, there is a parsererror within jQGrid on the complete function.
I'm pretty positive that something in my data is causing this issue. Does anyone know of any tricks to pinpoint exactly what may be causing the parsererror. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
Thanks!

Well, I've discovered the issue. It was the data, as I had thought. There is a TEXT DESCRIPTION in the results. The previous interface allowed Double Quotes within the text. THe method formatting the JSON, wraps that text description in double quotes.
Therefore, I get something like this:
"The title of the book is "JSON Unleashed" and it is good!"
In light of this, I will need to alter the interface to account for this as well as alter the formatting to handle legacy data.
