http://stackoverflow.com/quest.....-onsortcol
I need to be able to do some pretty strange things in terms of sorting, specifically to glue some rows to other rows so that they move together, as a pair. I don't see documentation on how to write an onSortCol function but it seems like it probably does give me the power that I need.
What I want to be able to do sort the data myself (which I have stored in local data) when the user clicks on a column header. Can I do this? Does anyone have an example I can base my code on?
I'm reading this example here:
http://www.trirand.com/blog/ph.....efault.php
and I think that this programmer is setting up to tell the server to return the data in a different order and than re-fetching it. Am I right about that? This isn't what I need to do. I need to do the sorting on the client side. My sort is complex and the data is small.
Anyone got an example?
Thanks!
