jqgrid and restful webservices

The good thing about jqgrid is that it works with any server side technology. One thing I have noticed, however, is that it uses POST for its CUD operations (add,edit,del). This is not necessarily the best way to do things (according to some books etc.) if I want to use it in a 'truly restful webservice' manner - where one should use delete and put as well. Are there ways to overcome this or is this intended?

Hello,

Thank Yamil, but I think that Christian have another think in mind.

I plan for the version 3.5 for all CRUD opreration to be defined as function. Currently this is possible only for reading the grid data - datatype as function.

This will open the door to other things like Google Gears

Is this the case Christian?

Thanks but I think mtype is only for populating the grid - where a GET makes sense ...
