Hi,

I am new to JQGrid and I want to add edit functionality to the grid. In the backend I am using a simple Java class with JDBC and passing a JSON string to my grid. Can anyone tell me what I need to do if I want to pass data back to the class from the grid ? For example lets say a user deletes a row, then I wan this change to be reflected in the database as well. So I am assumiong that i will somehow have to let my backnd know about this change, update the database and send a new JSON string for the grid.

I dont want to use servlets. Is there a way to do this without servlets ? I am still not sure how the url attribute of the grid works.

Please help.

Thanks
