My question relates to getting a JQGrid grid of rows to refresh properly if I change the dropdown for 'number of rows per page' in the pager.
I inherited a project which was orinally using JQGrid 4.2.0, at which time all was working well. We recently updated it to 4.5.4 and then discovered this odd quirk, that if have 'rows per page' set to 20 and there are 15 rows, then I change the drop-down to '10 rows per page', the grid shrinks to show only 10 but the pager still says 'page 1 of 1'. If I click refresh it shows '1 of 2' correctly. Then if I change the pager back to '20 rows per page' it only shows 10 rows and shows 'page 1 of 1' until I click 'refresh' again.
I attempted a resolution based on hooking into the 'change' event of the control (which didn't work) but I'm sure there's a better way.
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Oliver

Hello,
Can you please reproduce the problenm in our demo?
Also if not can yo please post e test example or send it to me to see what is happen.
I'm unable to reproduce this.
If you obtain data from remote server, please check your response when you reload the grid.

I'll try to produce a cut-down sample which recreates the problem. However, ours is a complex app which uses lots of non-default behaviour for JQGrid and I don't know where to start with identifying which of those is important to recreate the problem - I guess I'll turn off each setting until the pager restores normal behaviour. I appreciate JQGrid 'normally works' so it's something odd we're doing causing the issue.
I was hoping to get some insight on what might be the cause based on the fact that the behaviour changed between versions of JQGrid (although various changes were made to our product at the same time as taking on the new version of JQGrid to align with its features). I'll look closer at what was changed.
Thanks for your investigation so far,
Oliver
