Hi,

I'm currently using the edit ability of form editing, with the jQModal box.

However, I'm facing the problem it seems to me there is no possibility to differenciate between editing a row and adding a new.

I'll try to explain it better. If the user edits row, it should only be 2 fields editable.

However, if he adds a new one, he should have acces to all fields of the row.

But I've only seen the add and edit params are the same, except the modal box caption .

Is there any feasable solution without making a whole new modal box ?

thanks in advance.

Hello,

This is nothing to do with the separation of edit and add.

Imagine in this case we should have two editoptions for add and edit

in the colModel, which I think is not applicable.

You can easy implement this using the available events

and setColProp method.

Regards

Tony
