Each jqGrid is causing the page to reload

Hello,

I have four jqGrids on one page (aspx), the Page_Load event was fired four times every time the page was refreshed. And if I reduce the number of jqGirds to three, the page then refreshes itself three times, so far and so forth.

Not only this is causing the page to load four times as slow, it also means I loose all user entered data on the client side.

I'm wondering has anyone else encountered this problem? and how to I stop the jqGrid from firing the page_load event?

Did you ever come up with a diagnosis / solution for this? I'm having the same problem on an ASP.NET MVC3 page with multiple grids on it. The corresponding controller action for the view is fired 5 times (there are 4 grids on the page), and I can't figure out where these extra calls originate. I do know that when I comment out the grids on the page, the action is called just once as intended.
