Hi. In application I maintain jqgrid used to get data.

So, there is a filter and a grid (jqgrid) filtered data load in. Searching appropriate data for filter is rather long operation.

Now when page is load and jqgrid allocated it queries server with default filter.

And after that users can fill filter click search button and get results.

So, when they first time come on page they see set of data filtered by default filter - and they didn't want it. They want fill filter, click search button and only after this data load in jqgrid first time.

In other words - how can I do jqgrid load only by clicking search button ?

Tony thanks. I've read documentation and found solution - maybe it will be useful for who has such problem:

so, if you don't want to load data when page is loaded than use

hiddengrid and hidegrid properties.
