Hi, is colNames a required grid property? The documentation doesn't suggest that it is and I've seen posts where others indicate they are not using it, but when my grid loads I get a message indicating:
"Length of colNames <> colModel or 0!"
I have several hidden columns and originally only had lables (via colNames) for the ones that weren't hidden. I've since removed colNames all together and added a label property for each field/column in colModel that is visible, but I'm still getting the error when the grid loads.
Any help is appreciated.

I was able to resolve this by including colNames in my grid definition and providing empty quotes for the hidden columns.

If you have trouble you can omit the colNames array empty and use the new option in colModel - label - see more on what is new in 3.4 release
