Change dynamically the msg message delete

Hi all,

I want to change dynamically the msg message displayed when the user confirm the deletion. I want that this message contains the value of a javascript variable (window.var1). Is there a way to do this ? Maybe by modifying the msg value in beforeShowForm ?

Hi Philippe,

Yes you can do it in the beforeShowForm event.

This is an example I use in my "users administration module":

beforeShowForm:function(form) {

                ret = $("#list").getRowData($("#list").jqGrid('getGridParam','selrow'));
                $("td.delmsg",form).html("Souhaitez-vous supprimer l'utilisateur<br><br><b>"+ret.matricule+': '+ret.nom+" "+ret.pren+"</b> ?");

            },

The confirmation delete message box will appear now on 3 lines (with user information in bold policy) like below. If the current record was John doe user:

Souhaitez-vous supprimer l'utilisateur

1234567: DOE John ?
