Calling setColProp from within OnInitializeForm

Hello,

A number of people are working on populating dependent

Selectsdynamically from database within the Add/Edit form

based on user selecting some option in the independent

select.

The solutions require complex Javascript and JQuery

knowledge. Will the complexity be reduced if we are able

to change the Editoption associated with a dependent

column bycalling setColProp against the OnChange event

of the independent column (select)?

The handler for the OnChange event will still have to be

added in the OnInitializeForm event, this part of the

complexity cannot be avoided.

Hello,

onInitializeForm is the right place for this.

I never try this, but why not use editoptions like this

editoptions : { onChange: myfunc(this.value)…}

editoptions are added as atribute of every alement

Helllo Tony,

Uising editoptions:{ onChange....} is not working as expected.

The onChange function is getting called as the grid is getting

loaded, before any Add/Edit/Delete operaton !
