I've been using a lot of jqGrid sub grids lately. One feature I would like to see is some kind of auto-height/vertical shrink functionality. Basically, if the sum of the heights of the returned rows is less than the height of the body of the grid I would like the grid to shink to fit the rows exactly. This feature would mostly be helpful when dealing with sub grids because many times I find that when I expand the sub grid I only have one or two results and then I am left with a lot of vertical empty space which just looks a bit sloppy.
Thanks,
Jarrod

Hello,
Just set a grid option
..jqGrid({
...
height:'auto'.
..
});

I guess what I am looking for is the combination of the auto height feature with a max height setting. Say, for instance, my sub grid contains millions of rows and the user wants to page them by 250 resullts/page. I don't want the height of the sub grid to be 250 rows high. I may want to make it so the sub grid can only be 100px high max. Is this possible with the grid currently?
