Possibly user confusion, otherwise very minor feature request..
If i have data of a fixed number of rows per day, external controls govern pagination of date ranges - so there's only ever one page so no need for embedded jqGrid navbar/pagination.
I'd like client-side sorting but ability to reload grid by changing url and triggering - ie. sort what you've got but reload when i say.
Not sure if i've missed some setting for client-side sorting with ajax loading when trigger('reloadGrid') is called - currently i set the updated url and flip-flop "loadonce" true/false as well as the datatype local/json - instead of setting both, sortclientside:true allowing update of url and trigger reload?

Hello,
Use onSortCol which is fired before populating the grid something like
onSortCol(colname, colindes, sortorder) {
if(some condition) {
$("#mygrid").setGridParam({datatype:'json'});
}
}
If you want to go back after this use loadComplete to set the datatype local.

Tony
