Hi Tony,
I know that when using jqModal to create an edit form, the top/left parameters refer to the window, not the jqGrid. Any chance of getting something that will allow me to both use jqModal and position the edit form relative to the grid?
My problem is that on a complex form, where the height of the form depends on what the data contains (and it changes frequently) the grid moves up or down the form as required, so sometimes the edit form and the grid cannot be seen at the same time (if jqModal positions it relative to the window).
So at the moment I am stuck with not using jqModal, just so I can be sure where the edit form will appear.
Thanks
Reg

Hello Reg,
I'm tryng to resolve this problem from long time. The only not resolved problem is in (as usuall) IE browsers. This bug in IE (z-index) for now can not be resolved from me.
Instead I will continue to search for solution.
Best Regards
Tony
