Hello,
I've detected performance problem when scrolling in big grids, because the browser checks every row if it's visible.
Could this be improved the following way, or are their any circumstances where this solution does not work?
populateVisible: function() {
...
var table = $("table:first", grid.bDiv);
- var rows = $("> tbody > tr:gt(0):visible:first", table);
- var rh = rows.outerHeight() || grid.prevRowHeight;
+ var rows = $("> tbody > tr:eq(1)", table);
+ var rh = rows.length ? (rows.outerHeight() || grid.prevRowHeight) : grid.prevRowHeight;
// avoid slow selector (performance). Row 0 is the invisible "jqgfirstrow"
// so row 1 (eq(1)) is the first visible row, we can therefor optimize this selector
// and avoid numRowsInTable :visible checks which are very slow
...
Or is there a better solution?
Kind regards,
Klaus.
