Hello Tony,
the setting $.jgrid.edit is very practical and it will be used by many real projects to set the common style used in the project.
The methods editRow and saveRow support (but not ducument) already parameters as one object with the properties. If one need to set some from the last parameters of editRow for example the usage in the form
seems me very practical.
On the other side everything is prepared to introduce $.jgrid.inlineEdit which could be used to set default values for the inline editing. For example setting of default errorfunc parameter seems me very usefull.
To impelemt new $.jgrid.inlineEdit one needd to change only one line of the editRow code and one line of saveRow code where $.extend are used. Of cause one should modify the code to use $.extend always.
It would be very good to see the changes in the main code of jqGrid.
Best regards
Oleg
