There is an addRowData method to extend the current grid. But it will only insert the row first or last. How about adding a method for inserting row at a given position row?
That way you can add a row anywhere in the grid.
And if somebody will integrate draggables, please page me 🙂

Impressive! When will that version be out?
And just to be sure. You are responding about the insertRowData, right? The draggables idea is not implemented, I recon. (I saw that mentioned in another thread).
But can you answer this also? I can't find a method to give me the current number of rows in the grid, only the initial number.
Isn't there a method to give me this?

Yes I speak about insertRowData method.
As for the second getGridParam("records") will give you this
