I would like to be able to show/hide the multiselect column just as I can show/hide other columns.
I am aware that I can call "hideCol('cb')" and that does work, but it appears to have some issues. Mainly, when you also have Grid within a Subgrid enabled, the "subgrid" row has 1 more visible column (padding for the parent's multiselect column, which isn't necessary because I've hidden the multiselect column in the parent).
My suggestion for implementation is to let us enable the multiselect column like any other column. By default, grids with multiselect enabled would enable multiselection by clicking on each individual row and use highlighting to designated rows, but will NOT have the multiselect checkbox column by default. If a user wants a multiselect column, they can add a column using the colModel, and add a property "multiselect:true" to the column. This will add the checkbox columns, including the "check all" checkbox.
This is just a suggestion though. As long as I can hide the multiselect checkbox column without causing formatting issues, I will be able to do what I need to do.
Here is a help request post I created a couple days ago, BTW. It contains a little more info:

Thank you for all the help! This project has been very useful and it appears to have been gracefully implemented. I really appreciate the work you have done, and am an avid ad clicker on your site. 🙂
