jqGrid is GREAT!!!
I've been using jqGrid for a week with great success having integrated a Python based web service for AJAX calls instead of PHP. But I've got some pretty complicated data input form requirements and I'm beginning to wonder if the popup form that comes with jqGrid will do the job. For instance, I need to interactively enable/disable fields based on the onchange event of a select object. Likewise, I need to database/AJAX poputate select options based on the contents of other select objects. How do I connect onchange event functions to selects in the jqGrid popup form? Nothing I've tried seems to work.
Or alternatively, how do I connect jqGrid row edit events to a sophisticated edit form with exchange of cell data back and forth? (I'm basically porting/rewriting a non-jQuery web app to use jQuery where I already developed this functionality with just plain Javascript.)
Any tips to get me started on this are apprecieated.

Hello,
Actually you can use onInitializeForm (which is called only once) to bind events on the fields (including ajax loada and etc), the you can use beforeShowForm to show and hide some content (this can be separate for add and/or edit).
I'm not sure, but in the forum you can find such solution.

Tony
