Hi Tony,
I need to print a custom message to the user when an EditRule is violated. However this is not actually possible, nor is it to have a custom EditRule, even if more and more validations are supported (url, email...).
So I thought that it could be fine to define a custom validator like:
where <callback> could define the validation function (called with the field value as a parameter and may be some optionnal) that returns a custom message when it fails.
Do you think its a interesting feature and, if yes, could it be implemented for next version of jqGrid ?
Thanks
