Hello Tony,

Many new jqGrid users download not all modules of jqGrid which they need. To make easy for the newcomer to start with jqGrid I suggest to check all modules on the jqGrid download page per default, exactly like jQuery UI download do this. Advanced users will still be able to unselect unneeded modules.
