Oh.dear jqgrid team:

     I very like this jq plugin , but data formatter is not easy to use ,default formatter method require to return a html string to display,

you know ,some formatter may be an img dom element ,or link,or button,or other to action some user operation,  which must need

to response event ,like mouse click ,mouse over,etc.  then ,current code is very unconvention to add those event to !!

eg.

    i want add a formatter it seems likes a button ,when a click the button ,i show some infomation

   current code i must

   formatter:function(){

          return "<button onclick='alert(msg)'>info</button>"

  }

 i hope it as flowing:

 formatter :function(){

     return $("<button>into</button>").click(function(){

             alert("msg");

     });

}

    it 's good that formatter method to return a dom element itself than a string ,

   thanks
