The documentation here:
suggests that sidx comes in as a number (except the first time.) After that not working, well, at all for me, I pulled out the Tamper plug-in for Firefox and found out that it was passing sortname instead, even after the first time. So it looks like it doesn't pass numbers at all. Gazing into the code, I couldn't find anywhere that it would.
If that's the case, then it would be great if you could change the documentation code sample appropriately.

Thanks, will be corrected. The reason is that when the first time we do not have send the index we use the first one as a common approach for all code

Currently no, but it is a good idea.

Hi Tony,
Is this already corrected? We have our queries written in xml and translates them into html pages using xslt. I don't think we can specify default values for sidx or any other request parameters in xml like the php did here.
Why would we want to use sortname and sortorder at first load and then switch to sidx and sord thereafter?
Thanks!
