jqGrid 4.2.0 and old versions of JQuery

I have set testing jGrid applications and need to know issue when upgrade to updated JQuery version and using old Jgrid application. Will be there conflict or it should be always upgraded jgrid version when it comes new JQuery version? Example: I'm using currently:

JQuery 1.4.4. and need updated to Version 1.6

jqGrid 3.8.2 - jQuery Grid and need to update to jqGrid 4.2.0

1. What files or folders should be always updated that none application will fail?

2. Can be some conflicts with updated jQuery and old version of jGrid?
