This topic has been posted for a couple of weeks now. Not many have looked at it and no one has replied.
I am assuming that not many are using IE-8 yet or do not have the same issue with their usage of jqGrid.
Assuming the validity of this issue can be confirmed, is it possible that Microsoft has done something so drastic that it can change the way it processes jqGrid javascript html manipulation and not be obvious to many other jQuery processes or javascript code generally.
If this is an issue, wouldn't it be best to determine the validity of it and inform Microsoft as soon as possible while IE-8 is still in beta.

Hello,
I can confirm this. The reasons are in jqGrid itself and how IE8 do that. I use IE8 rc. The problem is solved when you go in so named compatible view.
Also this will be corrected in 3.5 release of jqGrid.
Thanks
Tony
