I wrote a PHP implementation of jqGrid, in other words you can access the data of your DB using jqGrid as a front end and PHP for the server side. You can download it at: http://www.openrest.eu/
I hope it will be useful,

Thanks for sharing this with the community, we will also take a look and hopefully provide feedback.
To anyone else interested - soon (in 2 weeks, we will be releasing PHP framework for almost codeless integration of jqGrid in your project) - details here:

I downloaded the zip file and have started to look at it.
I am completely lost. I can change the configuration file, but am not sure what to do next.
Can you point me to a demo .php?
Bill
Hi Bill,
at http://service.openrest.eu/gri.....ble=people you can see a demo.
In the same page you'll find also the HTML code that you can copy and paste in every page of your web site. The way to use OpenREST is the same of Google translate tools or DISQUS: just copy some javascript in your web page to display a new widget in your page. In particular OpenREST give you the oppurtunity to access and modify the data of your DB using jqGrid interface.
