How to support date?

If the json response of the server is like

{
“id”: “1406701″,
“type”: “773″,
“targetDate”: new Date(1244527200000),
“lastModifiedDate”: new Date(1158142174000),
“lastModifiedUser”: “SUPER”
}

where the date (in bold) is a native javascript object,
the grid render the cell empty.

Can I config the grid to support that?

Hello,

Acctually this should work since we make a eval of this string.

Please check what is happen when you apply eval of this string.

Not sure but maybe you should enclose this in barkets.

I use a custom formatter that use dtpicker.formatDate:

$.fn.jsDateFormatter = function(cellval, opts, rwdat, act) {
            var op = $.extend({}, opts.date);
            if (!isUndefined(opts.colModel.formatoptions)) {
                op = $.extend({}, op, opts.colModel.formatoptions);
            }
            if (!op.reformatAfterEdit && act == 'edit') {
                return $.fn.fmatter.defaultFormat(cellval, opts);
            }

            if (isEmpty(cellval)) {
                return $.fn.fmatter.defaultFormat(cellval, opts);
            }

            var dFormat = opts.newformat;
            if (!dFormat)
                dFormat = 'dd/mm/yy';

return $.datepicker.formatDate(dFormat, cellval);

};
