help - edits not being written to the database

hello!

i've followed the tutorial and created a grid using jqGridRenderer. everything looks good so far, except that edits, deletes, adds aren't getting written to the database. i enabled debugging, and while i see the selects being done to load the data, nothing happens when you edit, delete, add a record.

what did i miss?
