jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

Hi, my name is Gabe first of all I want congrats to author of this excellent widget.

Well, comming back to my question. I have an issue where I need through a button, reload a grid. My case is that I have a form whit different inputs that acts like filters, then when I choose some filter and I press the Search Button, I need through JQuery (JSON AJAX) go to search data to my DB, and send those filter datas through the URL parameters.

But, there is the problem. Also I need the grid parameters like rows=?&page=?&sidx=&sord=? to complete the JSON response that the grid need. Have JQGRID some function that allow me add my own parameters to the grid URL, and then trigger the ajax request? Or more simple, get the JQGRID parameters for add them to my own JQuery ajax request?
