I've run the jqGrid 3.4 within a page test thru W3C validators cheching:
CSS 2 and 3,
XHTML 1.0 (transitional) and 1.1 standard,
Any from above failed.
The major issues are:
CSS: caused by jqModal.css after line 9.
XHTML: Acuses the defaut table we open in the html to get the grid started just before the div pager to be prematurely closed as it contains nested tags.
“end tag for “table” which is not finished.”
Has anyone found a solution for this without breaking the grid?

Hello,
Yes the validator does not like a empty table - i.e <table....></table> - it requieres that we have at last one row. I will think on this direction - i.e before constructing the grid to empty the contents.
About jqModal.css maybe is a good idea to ask Brice why is this. To be a honest never tested when we use the modals.
