Hi,
Whilst playing with subgrids I have noticed that unless you specify more than 2 columns in your subgrid data set the subgrid will display the heaer row but no data row even though the data is requested correctly.
I experienced this using the standard rows->row->cell Xml format for both the grid and subgrid datasets.
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
$('#list').jqGrid
({
datatype: 'xml',
url: '../Order.mvc/XmlNormal',
mtype: 'GET',
colNames: ['Id', 'First Name', 'Surname'],
colModel: [
{ name: 'contactId,', index: 'num', width: 55, resizable: true, xmlmap: 'contactId' },
{ name: 'firstName', index: 'name', width: 120, resizable: true, xmlmap: 'firstName' },
{ name: 'lastName', index: 'surname', width: 120, resizable: true, xmlmap: 'lastName' }
],
viewrecords: true,
pager: $('#pager'),
rowNum: 10,
rowList: [5, 10, 15],
sortname: 'num',
sortorder: 'desc',
caption: 'My first grid',
imgpath: '/themes',
subGrid: true,
subGridUrl: '../Order.mvc/Subgrid',
subGridModel:
[
{
name: ['Street', 'City'],
width: [150, 110]
}
]
})
});
</script>

Phil

Hello,
A simple way to see if all is correct is to see the demo. Also check
the demo files. Maybe something is wrong with the data.

Tony
