jQuery Grid Plugin - jqGrid

Hi,

I am seeing a different behavior when using two different search variants. If i am using the Search Form the parameters "searchField" and "searchString" are set as expected. I habe also activated the Search Toolbar option. If i am typing in the search phrase the parameter depends on the colum name, like "firstname" or "lastname".

Example. firstname = "jan"  (instead of "searchField ="firstname", "searchString" = "jan")

I would need to know in advance which column the user is using.

If i use the form first and then the toolbar the "searchField" is still set to the parameter i used in the form.

Why can't the toolbar just use the currently active "searchFieled/searchString" pair? I think this is a bug.
