Default values in search toolbar are ignored in first query, but visible in toolbar. Even more confusing to force search you need to hit enter, reloading with .trigger('reloadGrid'); does not help.
{name:'unit', index:'unit', width:200,align:'left',searchoptions:{defaultValue:'unit_1',}}
First query after grid initialization:
/loggs/fetch.html?_search=false&nd=1260461514565&rows=100&page=1&sidx=created&sord=desc
Tested on:
Opera 10.10
Os: Vista
jqGrid version: 3.6.

Hello,
Do not think it is abug. The default values just apper in the toolbar waiting the user to perform a action.
Also triggering the grid is not the right approach. You shoould use triggerToolbar instead.

I have also tried to use triggerToolber with the same result - no result ;). I think that it may be a bug.

How do you call triggerToolbar? - there is a special case here.

Hello,
I have to load the grid with an active initial filter.
Is there a possibility to make the first request using the default values or simply prevent the first request at all and use triggerToolbar after?
FilterToolbar - beforeSearch is not called for the initial request too.
The call to triggerToolbar after the initial request does not help because the initial request does take some time during which the grid does not make a new request and I do not want to let the user wait on two requests to the server.
