We have a paged grid that, based on search criteria, we will call trigger("reloadGrid") to force the grid to reload the data. This works great, as long as there are actual results. If a query returns no results, and a subsequent query produces results, the page number and record count are incorrect.
This can even be force by calling clearGridData(true) and then call trigger("reloadGrid"). That reload grid call will never produce the proper record counts, which will then in turn prevent you from viewing any of the data on subsequent pages in the result list.

trigger("reloadGrid") reload grid with the current data (if there are no other explicit settings to postData). Also I will say check what you return from server.
