Problem with Sortable Rows in Chrome

Hi guys

thanks for the great grid.

I've discover a problem with the Sortable Rows feature in Chrome. After you've dragged a row and reload the grid data the grid header and body become misaligned.

The problem can be reproduced - /blog/jqgrid/jqgrid.html Demo page - new in version 3.6 - Sortable rows - drag and drop any row, then select a different number of rows at the bottom select so that the grid reloads.

Does anybody know any work around? I've tried upgrading to the latest release but didn't help.

I have the same problem, tried with versions 3.6.5, 3.7.2, 3.8.2.

The problem happens when I trigger "reloadGrid" AFTER I've dragged any row. As JanM says, go to Demo Page/new in version 3.6/sortable rows, drag any row, then click reload, the cells are all disaligned.

There seems to be a problem with "table-layout:fixed" with Webkit browsers (Chrome), apparently it's not seeing the "jqgfirstrow". There must be some javascript event making it load incorrectly, becaues in the DOM explorer in Chrome, I change all the tr rows to look exactly like they were before dragging (only removing zindex and opacity style from dragged row), but they still get disaligned.

I'm still seeing it in the 3.6 demo with Chrome 13.0.761 and Safari 5.0.4 Does anyone have any solutions for this while still using "table-layout:fixed"?

I know this is an old post, but the issue still exists and can be reproduced on your own demo of sortable rows with the latest version of Chrome.  To reproduce...

  1. Open the latest verison of Chrome.  Right now that appears to be 21.0.1180.83, but it will probably be up to version 22 in 10 minutes.
  2. Go to the jqGrid demos page: http://trirand.com/blog/jqgrid.....qgrid.html
  3. Expand "New in version 3.6" and click "Sortable Rows"
  4. Make no changes to the grid and click the reload icon.  Notice that the column alignment stays as expected.
  5. Drag a couple rows around to any random position
  6. Click the reload button again

Notice how the cells in the grid table no longer align with the cells in the header of the grid.

This works fine in IE 9 && Firefox 15.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?  If I can't work around this I am going to have to scrap the sortable rows entirely, which would be very unfortunate!

Hello,

Thanks.

Will investigate the problem and try to fix it.
