Hi, Solved problem...
The problem is : propert "p.page" is char and "page" is numeric, change "===" to "=="

We experienced the same problem. The problem still appears in v4.3.1.
It may be better to set both p.page and p.lastpage to a numeric value.
In grid.base.js the following lines (1104 in v4.3.1) could be changed from:
ts.p.page = $.jgrid.getXmlData( xml,xmlRd.page ) || 0;
ts.p.lastpage = $.jgrid.getXmlData( xml,xmlRd.total );
if(ts.p.lastpage===undefined) { ts.p.lastpage=1; }
ts.p.records = $.jgrid.getXmlData( xml,xmlRd.records ) || 0;
to:
ts.p.page = intNum($.jgrid.getXmlData(xml, xmlRd.page), 0);
ts.p.lastpage = intNum($.jgrid.getXmlData(xml, xmlRd.total), 1);
ts.p.records = intNum($.jgrid.getXmlData(xml, xmlRd.records), 0);
