jqGrid 3.5 checkbox bug - Select one selects all

I am using jqGrid 3.5. I have a grid hosted by a jQuery UI dialog with multiselect set to true. The undesired behavior I'm seeing is when the grid contains multiple pages of data and I select any one row, all rows are selected (as though I selected the checkbox in the header but I did not). However, when the grid has only 1 page of data, selecting any one row selects just that row.

Note that I have not completely verified that this behavior is multipage vs. single page, but that's really the only difference.

I know this post is short on details, but I'm not sure what to provide.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

(Sorry for the self reply. I should have checked this before posting the topic.)

I am incorrect in my hypothesis. Multi-page or not does not make a difference. The only (major) difference in the working vs. not working grids now is 8 vs. 34 rows.

Thanks so much for your response Tony. May I say that I am very impressed with the grid control and very much appreciate your sharing this with the community.

I'm sorry for the confusing details.

As you've already diagnosed, it has nothing to do with the my orignal theory of the number of items or the contents of the item data. However, I have NOT tried looking to see if my ID fields are unique in both cases. That makes perfect sense and I should have checked that first.

I am multi-tasking between three projects at the moment so I will try this and report back as soon as I can.

Thanks again for your help.

The IDs I received from the backend service were all zeros when I point to the problematic service, but populated correctly when I point to the working service, so that was the problem.

My apologies for wasting your time and not debugging my own application properly.

In my defense ;), I'm getting the data from the same backend WCF service code hosted on two different machines but both services point to the same database where the unique keys are, so I'm not sure why one service does not return unique keys for each data row and the other does. But, that's my problem not yours :-).

Thanks again Tony!
