Here's a copy of my test....

http://www.weaverroad.org/admi.....qUser.html

(Fails on my IE6 ...works on FF3, FF2)

Previously worked fine with JqGrid 3.3.2 and older jquery on IE6.

The Grid disappears with the Modal Edit box.

Hello,

Thanks for this. Currently I do not have IE6, so If possible let stay this for 2-3 days.

Thank you very much.

Regards

Tony

Plan to leave it there as long as it takes...

Very thankful for the grid!

I have the same problem.  I've confirmed it with jqGrid versions 3.4.1, 3.3.1, 3.3, and 3.2.4. All using jQuery 1.3.2.  No problem with jQuery 1.2.6

Here's an interesting twist I noticed and confirmed with Rich's test. If you first hit the edit button without selecting a row, the error dialog comes up because no row was selected. Close it. Select a row. Then hit the edit button.  The modal ediit dialog comes up and the grid rows WILL NOT disappear.

Hello,

Could you please try with this doctype:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DT.....strict.dtd">

Thanks

i get the same results with that doc type. But, the page has a few things that would keep it from validating as strick xhtml, so IE may be reverting to 'quirlks' mode.  I'm not sure how that works..  The doc type I have been using is:

<!DOCTYPE

HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">

http://www.weaverroad.org/

Tony's suggestion is here.

http://www.weaverroad.org/admi.....trict.html

Still broken Edit Modal for IE6.

Thanks,

Rich

Updated Tests… to be more valid html.

Just not sure how to fix the “table” invalid html that

requires an element to be valid ..but jqGrid only works when

it has no elements.

All 3 tests still fail the same way with IE6.
