Hello,

Just for kicks I tried the new jQuery 1.3, and I must say, it's a lot faster in jqGrid.

But somethings don't work in IE6.

I have a function that adds a link to every row in my datagrid, and i use some values from the datarow to construct this url.

var caseID = $("#list1").getRowData(cl)["CASE_ID"];
var caseModule = $("#list1").getRowData(cl)["type"];
var message="my case-id:"+caseID+"\\nmy case-module:"+caseModule;

In FF2&3 it works, in Safari 3 also.

But in IE6, $("#list1").getRowData(cl) gives me an empty object!! So all my caseID and and caseModule are undefined!

I looked at the code used in getRowData, but it looks to me rather basic jQuery stuff.

Anyone has an idea?

Tony, Thank you for the new beta.

I just did a test with jQuery 1.3.1 (tried this before, but it didn't work) and the new jqGrid 3.4beta2.

And my issue from above is solved.

Can you point me to what you changed to get this working, if it's not too much?

Thanks again,

Stefan

Hello,

The problem is in jQuery 1.3.1 and IE. The selector td:nth-child does not work. I will make a ticket for this problem in the jQuery bug tracker.

Regards

Tony

FYI, I have a similar problem.  My workaround was to use .getCell - seems to work in both IE 6 and FF 3.

Hi,

I'm also having problems w/ JQuery 1.3.1 and jqGrid 34 beta 2. Dragging a column to resize does not work.

I have found a simular problem when using layout ui when i attempt to resize a panel splitter when dragging to resize using the split bar.

Could this also be related to the td:nth-child bug or is this a seperate issue?

It appears that this problem is actually with JQuery 1.3.1 and not jqGrid.

The same drag/resize UI code works fine when using JQuery 1.2.6.

Thanks!

P.S. - Tony, your grid is really excellent - Thanks

The bug above was fixed once I downloaded last night's jQuery nitely build (SVN Revision: 6170)

JQuery-1.3.2 should work fine once it is released.

Cheers!
