Hi,

following snippet:

...

colModel:[
       {name:'client.name1',classes:'client', index:'client', width:250,sorttype:"int", editable: true,edittype:"select",...

As you can see. The json reply contains a structure where in the record set is a client and inside the client is a name1 attribute. This works well apart from the fact that the css ID that is generated is: jqgh_client.name1

The css selector spec forbids dots inside ID names. I would propose some kind of transformation here to underscore or something.

The point is, i need to select this column via CSS selector and this is not possible anymore by ID.

Thanks

Marc

Hello,

Use jsonmap property. Actually which version do you use? This should be fixed in the last one

Hello,

There is a function called $.jgrid.jqID( id );

You will need maybe to look here:

But what do you mean with "that one should be fixed". What is fixed and in what version? I dont want to fiddle around with ugly workarounds in the jQuery selector but instead would love to see a better ID construction in jqgrid.

Hello,

It is fixed, but if you want to try to select this manually you should apply this function.

Would be nice to hear from you a solution for

better ID construction in jqgrid.
