Hi,

I noticed a post about ie8 and data alignment for multiselect, however I'm having a problem without using multiselect as well.

Basically when the grid loads first time it looks fine, but as soon as I edit a cell that cell's position changes and it no longer lines up with other cells in the column or the header.

This is using grid 3.5.3 and cellediting.

Regards,

Jo

Tony,

I've taken the example from your demos and added cell edit - here's the code:

var gridimgpath = '../jQuery/jqGrid3.5/themes/steel/images/';
jQuery(document).ready(function() {
jQuery("#grid").jqGrid({
datatype: "local",
height: 250,
colNames:['Inv No','Date', 'Client', 'Amount','Tax','Total','Notes'],
colModel:[
{name:'id',index:'id', width:60, sorttype:"int"},
{name:'invdate',index:'invdate', width:90, editable: true, sorttype:"date"},
{name:'name',index:'name', editable: true,width:100},
{name:'amount',index:'amount', editable: true,width:80, align:"right",sorttype:"float"},
{name:'tax',index:'tax', editable: true,width:80, align:"right",sorttype:"float"},
{name:'total',index:'total', editable: true,width:80,align:"right",sorttype:"float"},
{name:'note',index:'note', editable: true,width:150, sortable:false}
],
imgpath: gridimgpath,
multiselect: false,
forceFit: false,
cellEdit: true,
cellsubmit: 'clientArray',
gridview: true,
shrinkToFit: false,
viewrecords: true,
caption: "Manipulating Array Data"
});
var mydata = [
{id:"1",invdate:"2007-10-01",name:"test",note:"note",amount:"200.00",tax:"10.00",total:"210.00"},
{id:"2",invdate:"2007-10-02",name:"test2",note:"note2",amount:"300.00",tax:"20.00",total:"320.00"},
{id:"3",invdate:"2007-09-01",name:"test3",note:"note3",amount:"400.00",tax:"30.00",total:"430.00"},
{id:"4",invdate:"2007-10-04",name:"test",note:"note",amount:"200.00",tax:"10.00",total:"210.00"},
{id:"5",invdate:"2007-10-05",name:"test2",note:"note2",amount:"300.00",tax:"20.00",total:"320.00"},
{id:"6",invdate:"2007-09-06",name:"test3",note:"note3",amount:"400.00",tax:"30.00",total:"430.00"},
{id:"7",invdate:"2007-10-04",name:"test",note:"note",amount:"200.00",tax:"10.00",total:"210.00"},
{id:"8",invdate:"2007-10-03",name:"test2",note:"note2",amount:"300.00",tax:"20.00",total:"320.00"},
{id:"9",invdate:"2007-09-01",name:"test3",note:"note3",amount:"400.00",tax:"30.00",total:"430.00"}
];
for(var i=0;i<=mydata.length;i++)
jQuery("#grid").addRowData(i+1,mydata[i]);

});

 As soon as you go to edit a cell and change its value (text field for example) and click away then the cell's alignment shifts.

Regards,

Jo

Hello,

Could not reproduce. For me all is ok. Also in the demo page where this example is present, this does not occur.

NOTE: Please the imgapath parameter is NOT valid in 3.5 version. See : http://www.trirand.com/jqgridw.....4.x_to_3.5

Regards

Tony

Tony,

I've uploaded a copy of this here: http://ziggyfoo.com/jqgrid/

In the demo you have there's no cell editing - I've made that change in my example. If you click on Client, change the content and click away, the cell no longer lines up under the header.

This is in ie8. in Firefox 3.5.3 this does not happen - the grid works fine. I'm using version 3.5.3 of the grid.

I've removed the imgpath parameter too.

Regards,

Jo
